Gustavo Velasquez is a finance executive and entrepreneur with a background spanning investment banking, capital markets, strategic operations, and venture development. He previously served as an Executive Director/Vice President at Goldman Sachs, where, as Head of Americas Investment Banking Client Onboarding, he oversaw execution support for approximately 3,000 investment banking transactions annually across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

During his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Gustavo built and led high-performing teams across multiple offices, growing the organization from a small team into a regional platform partnering with investment banking teams across the Americas, as well as many of the firm's largest corporate and financial sponsor clients. He was responsible for developing the operational infrastructure supporting complex financing and advisory transactions, including initial public offerings, debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and private capital raises.

Gustavo's organization played a key role in many of the firm's highest-profile transactions, including landmark multibillion-dollar bond offerings, marquee technology IPOs, and large-scale private capital raises. He also managed relationships with several of the world's largest private equity sponsors, facilitating the execution of billions of dollars in equity transactions. Beyond transaction execution, Gustavo led strategic initiatives focused on process transformation, technology implementation, organizational redesign, and regulatory excellence across the investment banking platform. His responsibilities also included contributing to the launch of Goldman Sachs' Transaction Banking business—now an established standalone division of the firm—and serving on the regional New Activities Committee, which reviewed and approved new products and business initiatives prior to rollout.

Prior to Goldman Sachs, Gustavo worked for a Pritzker Group portfolio company, where he gained early operational experience in a high-growth entrepreneurial environment.

Gustavo earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship from Brigham Young University's Marriott School of Business, where he was named the Marriott School Outstanding Student of the Year and received the Philip and Helen Snelgrove Entrepreneur Scholarship. He later earned a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business.

He has served on the Advisory Panel – Customer Experience for the University of Houston's Bauer College of Business. Gustavo is also actively engaged with entrepreneurs, startups, and family offices, advising on strategy, capital formation, and scaling initiatives. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
